The person authorizing the purchase should email request@uwaterloo.ca with the following information:
- model (Torch, Bold, Curve, etc.)
- name of user, employee number, and UW userid
- building, room number, and department
- email address
- extension number
- city where you want it to be activated
- an account number for the charges
- voice plan ($20)
- data plan ($30) BES - BlackBerry only
* BES synchronizes wirelessly in real time from your Exchange (connect) account to email, contacts and calendar on your BlackBerry.

BlackBerry BES Data Plan ($30/month)
- To request this service, send a separate email to request@uwaterloo.ca asking for a BES server license. (Cost for BES license on a personal account is $90)
- 1GB/month
- Upgrading your device can only be done 24 months from initial activation date or previous upgrade.
- The person authorizing the upgrade should email request@uwaterloo.ca and include the model required, the person’s name and cell number and also the account number to be charged.
- Direct questions by email to telephoneadmin@uwaterloo.ca.
- Contact Rogers Tech Support (1-866-931-3282) immediately and they will put a block on the phone.
- Then email telephoneadmin@uwaterloo.ca regarding a replacement.
IST has given everyone initial access to their Rogers invoice online. Everyone should have been contacted by Rogers with instructions on how to gain access to their online invoice.
- Go to https://winonline.rogers.com
- User Name: usually the same as your WatIAM user id or if not, first initial then surname (no spaces).
- Password: either the password Rogers sent you by email or one you have chosen yourself. If you have forgotten your password, click the link on the login screen to request Rogers to send a new one.
New customers will automatically be given access to their online invoice and receive an email from Rogers with instructions. If you need further assistance please email telephoneadmin@uwaterloo.ca.
